It is my intention to win election and to represent this Lake of the Ozarks District with intelligence, compassion and objectivity. Creating a healthy foundation for our children will mean universal health care for them now, and for all Missourians as soon as the economy allows. Creating an economy by expanding biotechnology and “green” research and development will utilize the skills and education of Missourians instead of these jobs going elsewhere. To do this, revitalizing our University system is imperative. Relying on construction and service jobs with our tourist economy, which seldom pay enough for a person to support his or her family, is not satisfactory. Missourians do best when they have good paying jobs and affordable health care. I have worked in health care for over 20 years, helping families solve problems, couples mend, and children become healthy. Finding solutions to difficult problems is what I do best.
Nancy Pope is a dynamic leader recognized in mid-MO in the field of psychology as an innovator in promoting mental health and wellbeing. She is multi-talented as a clinician, public speaker, seminar presenter and writer, including guest columnist for The Lake Sun-Leader.
From 1982 - present Nancy has been an out-patient mental health clinician who has provided individual, family, group and marital therapy services in the private and public arenas of practice. This has included the provision of supervision of other clinicians, staff supervision and development of thriving practices in mid-MO. From 1978 - 1982 Nancy was a Social Services Worker and Investigator of Child Abuse and Neglect for the Division of Family Services in mid-MO.

Bill Burlison has served six terms as a U.S. Congressman, and is ready to serve Missourians as a State Representative. During his term as a Congressman, he was a supporter of the ERA and voted for it. His service to the public includes holding offices from County School Board President, County Prosecuting Attorney, Chair of the County Commission, Assistant Attorney General, and U.S. Congressman.
Bill is also very involved in the community, serving leadership roles as a Deacon in the Baptist Church, President of the Kiwanis Club, President of the Lions Club, Masonic Lodges, Marine Corp League, and Senior Olympics Board. Bill has three children and six grandchildren.
Why People should Vote for Me?: Citizens should vote for me because by November 4 I will have knocked on the door of every registered voter in the district. I know what the people need and want. I have traveled every county road and state highway in the district and know what needs to be done.
