Endorsed Candidates - Missouri House of Representatives

Jeffrey Alvarado has served honorably in our United State Air Force for twenty six years, a Viet Nam era and Gulf War 1 decorated veteran. While serving our country, he has held multiple leadership positions to include production superintendent and Executive Officer. Jeffrey has a Human Resource degree along with degree in Aviation maintenance and holds Airframe and Power Plant Certificate. He is a loyal democratic member and a lifetime member of Air Force Association. Jeffrey’s religion is private and is a member of Sacred Heart Parish.

Jeffrey believes an in-coherent out of touch government is destroying our way of life.  We have fallen for the rhetoric of global communalizations without supporting the citizens of this state through state sponsored health insurance venues. Without these venues our state is hampered in competing for global industries, our citizens families are at risk, and the future of our state is in jeopardy and the children have an arduous path to climb up from because of the failed republican administrations.

Jeffrey may be new at politics, but he knows his more aggressive leadership in the State House will benefit our community, our state, and make Missouri globally competitive and continue our traditional way of life.

Text Box: House District 126: Linda Marie Crane

For our rural counties, especially, the #1 issue is JOBS.  We need to develop production oriented jobs that will add to our tax base, keep people in our counties, improve access to health care, give students a reason for valuing their education and create a stronger overall rural economy.

From young to elderly, we need fair and equitable access to affordable health care and health insurance.

As an educator, I have been especially blessed to work with and see the problems of our youth, some with fractured families, stressed by money, illnesses, and a less strong value system in our communities.  We have to improve the foundation of public education, especially for Missouri's rural youth.  Public  education is the cornerstone of  United States' society.   In general, many U. S. students are not competitive with many  students in Asia and Europe.  Specifically, we need to make sure our rural Missouri students experience  as good an education as our urban students.  They are all Missouri's future citizens.

Text Box: House District 135: Nancy Hagan

As an educator, I am deeply concerned about the education crisis facing Missouri as well as other problems in our state government.  I am deeply concerned about the education crisis in Missouri, and how it relates to many other problems in our state. I have watched partisan divisions become a barrier to meeting the challenges we all face.

I believe that the people of the 135th District share many common values that go beyond political labels. Those values need to be applied to finding solutions to our common problems. We need new voices in Jefferson City — the voices of people who have experience solving problems, rather than protecting the status quo. After serving the Springfield community for more than 30 years, I am ready to be that voice for my neighbors in the 135th District. I hope that you will join with me in this campaign and vote for me on November 4. I appreciate your support!

Text Box: House District 138: Hon. Sara Lampe

Thank you for the honor of letting me serve you. I have enjoyed hearing from you, and it has been a privilege to voice your concerns in Jefferson City. I continue to approach each day with the same enthusiasm that I had on my first day.

As I spoke to my neighbors last summer and into the fall, they told me about their concerns paying for health care for their families; they worried about the sometimes crowded classrooms for their children and whether college would be affordable in the future. College students shared with me their concerns about access to grants and to loans if necessary and the rising cost of tuition. Seniors spoke with me about the challenges of choosing a prescription drug plan, living on a fixed income and finding affordable housing options.

We are elected to serve and that means not only listening to citizens, but acting on their concerns and despite being a member of the minority, I will continue to speak out on behalf of my constituents.

Rep. Sara Lampe, a Democrat, represents part of Greene County (District 138) in the Missouri House of Representatives. Elected to the House in 2004, Rep. Lampe is an Educational Consultant and Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Education Program at Drury University. She has taught in Missouri Public Schools since 1971, including 19 years as principal of the Phelps Center for the Gifted.

Rep. Lampe is a member of the Business & Professional Women’s Club, Gifted Association of Missouri, National Association for Gifted Children, Parents & Advocates of Gifted Children and the American Association University Women. She is also a member of the NAACP and is a member of the Faculty of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development in Alexandria, Virginia. She attends the South Street Christian Church in Springfield.
