Barbara believes the people of the 36th District deserve better representation than they have had over the past six years. Barbara believes we have the power to strengthen Missouri’s economy, improve the way we educate our kids and reform the way we generate and spend revenue. She is committed to maintain and create jobs, fully support our schools and work together to find ways to generate revenue, run a lean government, and invest in the future of our communities.
She will be a representative who will work across party lines to move Missouri forward. She believes we have seen too much party line voting, which is not a true representation of the ideals of the constituents in the 36th district. Barbara Lanning will be the fresh, but firm voice that we need now in Jefferson City.
Barbara attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. In 1987, after her children started elementary school, she started a successful 23-year career in real estate. She earned a GRI (Graduate REALTOR® Institute) designation, and became co-owner of the Century 21 office. Currently, she works with clients who are buying and selling property.
