Missouri Women’s Leadership Coalition Inspired by the power of coalitions, MWLC was formed in 2001 by five mainstream women’s organizations for the exciting purpose of increasing the number of progressive Missouri women elected at all levels of government in our state -- especially the state legislature. Sue Shear Institute The Sue Shear Institute was founded at the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1996 with the goal of helping women develop the skills needed for serving in both elected and appointed offices within government as well as employed policy-making positions. NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri, the state's largest grassroots pro-choice organization, has been working to protect choice for 35 years.
